Sealed Bids
Bids are secret maximums. The highest maximum wins, but pays £0.1m more than the second highest. While a window is open nobody sees the maximums; once it is finished, they are all shown.
How sealed bids work
- You can take each named player from the pool once in a bidding window. Name the player, or name the player and the most you’ll pay. Your bids must fit within the money you have: if you bid for several players, your money is shared between them.
- If nobody else bids, you get the player for free. If others bid, the highest bidder wins at £0.1m above the second highest bid.
- After round 1 the top three bidders go through; everyone else is out. They each get one more chance to put in a new maximum in round 2, and the highest wins again at £0.1m above the second highest.
- A bid is a bid. If a winner decides they no longer want the player, they lose that money and the player goes to the next bidder.
- New signings must be confirmed before the kick off of the next scoring match, or they won’t count that week.
Round 1 is open
14 bids received from 4 teams. The results appear when the round closes.
The price is £0.1m above the second highest maximum. Maximum bids are shown once a window is finished. Where the file has no Pos and Club, they come from the latest players file.
