By 2010/11 it’s fair to say that interest in the SFP had hit an all time low. The national league format just wasn’t generating the interest that auction based leagues had, and only 5 managers entered the 16th season.
Stuart Wigby was again crowned SFP champion, and became only the second manger to successfully defend a title. In fact, during the three national league seasons Wigby was dominant, with a 2nd place to go with his two titles.
So although these competitions weren’t quite as competitive as seasons prior to and after this era, his lofty position in the Hall Of Fame was rightfully earned.
