Rob-O-Klopp simply needed to avoid defeat last weekend to claim a 7th honour in 7 seasons.
However, Dale’s men were blown away by a rampant Atonement who smashed in 8 goals to win the honour themselves.
Manager Peggs now joins Walters with 9 SFP honours and hopes the good run continues :
"Happy days. This is the year that I atone for past failings. It’s the start of something special."
After a 9 year, 3 month and 1 day wait, Manager Peggs has finally made top spot in the SFP.
Last time Ross was top, Gordon Brown was running the country, Bonkers by Dizzie Rascal was top of the Charts, Norwich City were getting used to life in League One and the Chairman was still in his twenties.
